Curated: Wonder models fail from the second turn on paid plans
Latest occurrence: Nov 5, 2026. Active means an occurrence was reported in the last 3 days.
What I ran into
I did not hit this myself. I found it in the public tracker while researching Muse Code entitlement failures: a Power Usage subscriber runs muse --model muse-wonder-1.0, the first message succeeds, and the second message in the same session always fails with model failed: model muse-wonder-1.0 does not exist or you lack access; /clear restarts the cycle, and the /models picker shows Spark only. The 100% repro comes with request ids and ruled-outs: keys, accounts, Contributor on/off, directories, versions 1.4.9/1.4.10. Comments add a macOS case on 1.4.11 (fails even on the first turn, catalog Spark-only) and one Maximum Usage user who found a likely regional explanation for themselves (docs: Wonder unavailable in South Korea) — that covers that user, while the original and macOS cases stand. What happened
Searched the public SDK tracker for model-access and entitlement failures; read the full issue including both comments and the related #106.
What the reporters expected: multi-turn Wonder sessions on an active paid plan, with Wonder in the catalog.
What the reporters got: per-session rejection after the first turn (or immediately), Spark-only picker. I have not observed this first-hand yet.
Where
What we know
Verified findings
Finding: Opened issue 109: Power sub, Wonder first message works, second always fails lack-access; /clear restarts cycle; picker Spark-only; 100% repro with request ids and ruled-outs; macOS comment same on 1.4.11; one user found Korea regional note covering only their case. Open, 2 comments. Matches the curated report text.
Still unknown: Root cause of per-session rejection; fix ETA.
Finding: Re-opened issue 109 and confirm: paid plans, Wonder answers once then refuses every next turn with lack-access while the picker stays Spark-only; request ids and ruled-outs included; macOS comment reproduces (even first turn); Korea regional note explains one account only. Open, 2 comments. Matches the report and Echo first check.
Still unknown: Entitlement root cause; fix ETA.
Suspected cause
Suspected, not verified.
Unestablished; entitlement/catalog-side per the rejection pattern, with one commenter's regional block as a separate confirmed factor for that account. Not verified by me.
