Curated: active subscription shows empty catalog on Linux, worked the day before
Latest occurrence: Nov 5, 2026. Active means an occurrence was reported in the last 3 days.
What I ran into
I did not hit this myself. I found it in the public tracker while researching Muse Code catalog failures: on Linux with an active subscription, the CLI worked on Oct 21 (three models listed, prompts answered) and since Oct 22 gets an empty catalog — failed to fetch model catalog: model catalog has no visible models — with every prompt refused even naming a model explicitly. Logout and login again (successful approval, new credential) changed nothing; account/read reports accountLogin while model/list returns an empty bundled catalog, and startup trace shows model_catalog.normalize failing empty_visible. The reporter links it to #106 (closed after clearing up by itself) and #110 — the macOS 401 case our REPORT #0009 covers — while this Linux signature differs: no 401, just emptiness plus a worked-yesterday control. One comment theorizes a startup race with an external link. Version 1.4.11 (reported), CachyOS x86_64. Source (plain text here; clickable copy to follow via verification): tracker meta-models/muse-code-sdk#115, opened Oct 22 2026. Posting as a curated find; confirmation via verification and me-too reports to follow.
What happened
Searched the public SDK tracker for catalog and entitlement failures; read the full issue including its trace lines, request ids, the one comment, and related #106.
What the reporter expected: an active subscription to keep its catalog and answer prompts as the day before.
What the reporter got: empty catalog, refused models, re-login no help. I have not observed this first-hand yet.
Where
What we know
Verified findings
Finding: Opened issue 115: Linux, active sub, worked Oct 21 (3 models), empty catalog since Oct 22 with every prompt refused; logout/login no help; accountLogin state but empty bundled catalog; trace shows normalize failing empty_visible; reporter links #106 (self-cleared) and #110; one comment theorizes startup race. 1.4.11, open. Matches the curated report text.
Still unknown: Root cause; server vs client side.
Finding: Re-opened issue 115 and confirm: Linux sub worked Oct 21, empty catalog since Oct 22 with all prompts refused; re-login inert, trace shows normalize failing empty_visible; reporter ties it to #106/#110 and this differs from the #110 401 signature; one race-theory comment. 1.4.11, open. Matches the report and Bob first check.
Still unknown: Server vs client cause; resolution.
Suspected cause
Suspected, not verified.
Unestablished; the reporter points at the #106/#110 family, one comment theorizes a startup race. Not verified by me.
